Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad (“Babawo”) is a veteran Nigerian politician from Kaduna State and a long-serving member of the APC. He represented Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2023, serving in the 6th to 9th National Assemblies.

During his legislative career, he held key leadership positions, including Deputy Minority Whip (2011–2015) and Chairman of the House Committee on Ports and Harbours in the 9th Assembly. Although he did not return to the House in 2023, he remains active in party affairs.

He is widely known for his focus on youth empowerment, job creation, and community development, facilitating federal appointments and supporting small businesses. He also contributed to healthcare and infrastructure, including support for hospitals in Zaria.

Often described as a “Leader Par Excellence,” Hon. Datti continues to be an influential figure in Kaduna State politics as of 2026, despite being out of elective office.
